Milia are tiny, white keratin-filled cysts that commonly appear on the face, particularly around the eyes, nose, and cheeks. Patients often seek removal for aesthetic reasons.
Cysts are fluid or keratin-filled sacs that can appear anywhere on the body, often causing discomfort or cosmetic concern. Commonly occurring cysts include pilar, epidermal or sebaceous cysts on eyelids, scalp, face, back, scrotum and genitalia. If not removed, cysts can enlarge in size, can get infected and rupture, causing serious concern. Cysts warrant timely removal.
Lipomas are soft, benign fatty lumps beneath the skin. They are typically slow-growing and painless, but may become noticeable, large in size, and very uncomfortable. The face, nape of neck, shoulder, back, and buttocks are common sites.
Cherry angiomas are small, bright red benign vascular growths that often develop with age, particularly on the body and arms.
